Fleet & Advanced Driver Skillz have several options with our Ofqual training or online training from RoSPA, which I’ve highlight the information below along with a links to the RoSPA website.
Training is delivered to individuals, Approved Driving Instructors (ADI) and Business Fleets who are looking to develop their driving beyond that of the standard driver, prepare for advanced driving tests, and to positively change their driving behaviour.
We can deliver any of this training above to any company-fleet or individual, depending on what they require or to suit their budget.
What is the System of Car Control?
Where did it come from?
Why do we have it?
The System of Car Control certainly isn't a new concept in advanced driving. It has been around in its earliest form since the mid 1930's and was initially devised to focus purely on the driving standards of the then-newly formed traffic police officer.
Despite being in existence for over 80 years it remains the tried and tested method for all emergency response and advanced driver training delivered by the police services across the UK. It has been adapted by other emergency services, has been accepted as the highest standard of driving by other countries for their police driver training and is what aspiring and seasoned advanced motorists set as their benchmark.
The system aims to make you a better driver by increasing your awareness of your own driving capabilities, improving familiarisation with your vehicle, understanding road traffic conditions and developing hazards with a methodical approach. I look forward to assisting you with the practical application of this and making you the best driver you're capable of becoming.
IPSGA is based on the police system of vehicle control and forms the foundation of our Advanced courses. Advanced Driving and Riding is all about the continuous application of IPSGA whenever you are out on the road, which helps you to adopt a systematic approach to any hazard that may arise.
If you are thinking of becoming an Advanced Driver or Rider, understanding the basic principles of IPSGA will give you a good start on your journey:
Key Learning Tasks
Each client undertaking driver training with us will receive a detailed driving report following their training session. This gives an insight into the driver’s baseline skills, what was covered on the day, how the driver has improved and to what extent and in what areas.
This lets you know the level of skill and competency a driver has and what they also need to work on. Each report produced is fully personalised and documented with its own unique verification number so you can check back for an original copy with us, if required. This is particularly useful for employers who has requested an employee
undertakes driver training. You will also receive a fully accredited certificate as evidence that you have completed the course successfully, which can be kept as evidence of your CPD.
Some of the most inspiring and challenging driving roads in the UK.
Y Bannau Brycheiniog
National Park
Y Bannau Brycheiniog (the Brecon Beacons) National Park is home to some of the most beautiful scenery in South Wales, full of grassy moorland, tranquil reservoirs, stunning waterfalls and high mountain plateaus. There are four distinct regions within the National Park. Mynydd Du, the most westerly and most remote section of the park; Fforest Fawr, a series of isolated hills; the Brecon Beacons, home to the highest peak in South Wales – Pen y Fan; and, then the Black Mountains, a group of old red sandstone hills. The National Park is the perfect location if you love the outdoors, with an array of different roads. It is the perfect location for the ultimate driving challenge!
We can also cover driver training in the busy areas of Cardiff, Newport and across South and Mid Wales.
